  • Quality not as good as with the 300 - 2004 Lexus RX 330

If all the goodies were taken away, you would still have an SUV that does not have the best working transmission, and brakes that fade.

  • phsyco transmission - 2004 Lexus RX 330

This is the weirdest transmission Ive ever encountered..it jerks and or jumps when shifting into second gear..upshift. when coming down steep hills..very unpredictable...but I love everything else about the car...worried about trans..

  • Luxury ride with SUV room - 2004 Lexus RX 330

Owned Q45, Lincolns, a Caddy and five Grand Cherokees. 04 RX330 has ride of Q with room of the Cherokee. Bought CPO with 30K miles for less than new Jeep. Get benefit of another 70K of warranty and other Lexus percs, plus a LOT smoother ride. Only complaint - power to outlets shut down with engine. Cant charge my cell phone while in a meeting!

I love everything about this car but the gas mileage. Maybe its because the car has only 1200 miles. Ive had rx300 before and rx330 even more comfortable, fast and fun to drive. Lexus fixed the turning circle and now this major problem in rx300 is gone. Highly recommend!

  • Almost perfect - 2004 Lexus RX 330
    By -

This is a extremely nice and well balanced SUV. Its quite, smooth, drives like its on butter, yet never leans or floats around corners. I love the in-dash CD changer and the muscular, angular styling. The leather seats are perfect in every way, theyre supportive, easy to adjust, have memory and heating features. Ive driven it for over four months now and we have taken it on several highway trips. Although its nice and smooth for two people, the interior space limits its use as a family highway cruiser.

  • Great Car - 2004 Lexus RX 330

I love this vehicle, but my kids hate it, they dont have the space like they had in the LR3, but we dont use this as our family vehicle. It is a lot better on gas and I got this as a steal so it was hard to pass up especially with the unpredictable gas prices. Sporty look is great, a features are fine. I havent taken it on a road trip yet but probably wont (Ill use the minivan). This car handles great and has a lot of features that are not standard in other vehicles. I bought this one used so let see how it stands up to the Lexus reputation of quality and endurance.

  • Engine noise - 2004 Lexus RX 330

While ideling in the cold, there is an engine noise transmitted to the passenger compartment. It is quite disturbing and Lexus says it does not know the reason for the noise. Very disappointed

  • Great car, but dangerous design flaw - 2004 Lexus RX 330
    By -

We are really happy with the car, but find the headlights to be unsafe. While the headlights are very bright and intense, they prevent almost all light diffusion. This creates a hazard when driving on unlighted roads as there will be pockets with visibility limited to 20 yards. If an animal or other object was in the road beyond the small illuminated area, one would have no realistic chance to react, even at very modest speeds. If one drives at a safe speed for this condition, one risks being a hazard to traffic approaching from behind.

  • Great but has problems - 2004 Lexus RX 330
    By -

This is our first Lexus. We purchased this brand to avoid trips to the dealer for repairs, etc. Unfortunately, it hasnt turned out that way. We have had either an engine or transmission howl that is getting progressively worse. Perhaps if the rest of the car wasnt so quiet, we wouldnt notice the howl. To the credit of the dealership, they have bent over backwards to attempt to correct the situation but so far, no results. After this experience we would think long and hard before we spent the extra money on a Lexus. I think we will go back to good old Toyotas ... same or better quality at far less cost.

  • Not up to Lexus Quality - 2004 Lexus RX 330
    By -

Love the way the car drives. Love the look inside and out, but---- Much noisier than the RX300 I had before. Transmission very rough and jerky. Air conditioner VERY noisy. Too many interior rattles. This one has to go back to the dealer for many problems--transmission, air conditioner. Not used to taking Lexusin for problems. Car has been disappointing--overall.
